Fonos, a subscription-based content app, needed a better way to keep busy users engaged across the customer lifecycle while growing subscriptions and loyalty. The company used CleverTap to create a data-driven personalization strategy, segmenting users by behavior and lifecycle stage to deliver more relevant marketing and retention messaging.

Using CleverTap’s RFM segmentation, real-time customer views, and automated journeys, Fonos triggered tailored onboarding, renewal, win-back, and loyalty campaigns across the right channels at the right time. The results were strong: a 5%–10% conversion uplift, about 10% revenue growth for targeted user groups, a 20% email open rate, a 10% in-app message open rate, 25% month-on-month MAU growth, and 6x MAU growth over six months.
