Allegiant, the March 2016 entry in The Divergent series, partnered with TopFan to launch an official fan app and better monetize its existing audience. The team’s challenge was to increase fan engagement and draw users back into the app by previewing trailers, clips and exclusive content ahead of the film’s release.

TopFan used CleverTap push campaigns to send catchy, targeted push notifications with sneak previews of pictures and clips, re-engaging fans and driving them back into the app. The campaign boosted app engagement and conversion rates—delivering up to a 19% increase in engagement and significantly higher conversions.
