A Clearwave Case Study
Tallman Eye Associates sought to streamline patient registration and check-in across its five clinics to free up staff, speed access to providers, and improve data accuracy and the overall patient experience. In 2014 the practice partnered with Clearwave and deployed 11 Clearwave self-service patient registration kiosks (dual-language) to automate intake and reduce manual processing.
Clearwave’s kiosks captured consents, insurance eligibility, demographic updates and clinical screening data, integrating with the practice workflow and Meinformatix. The results: 89% patient utilization of kiosks, average check-in time reduced from 21 minutes to 2 minutes 30 seconds (an 88% reduction), consistent insurance verification rates above 90% (Aug 2014–Jan 2015), and 38,000 demographic updates recorded in four months — all delivered by Clearwave’s solution.
