North Idaho Dermatology, a four-location practice in Coeur d’Alene serving about 30,000 patients a year, faced long check-in times (7–15 minutes), limited front-desk space, and the need to improve patient experience and payment collection. They engaged Clearwave and implemented the Clearwave Connect tablet solution to streamline check-in and free staff to deliver more personalized, face-to-face interactions.
Clearwave’s tablet solution (deployed as 3 tablets and 5 kiosks, integrated with GE Centricity) reduced check-in time to 1 minute 55 seconds for new and returning patients, enabled providers to add roughly one patient per day, increased payment collections through familiar in-tablet payments that auto-transfer to the EHR, and boosted both patient and staff satisfaction. The subscription pricing also allowed North Idaho Dermatology to add stations, eliminate lines, and improve overall efficiency.
