Ironwood Cancer and Research Centers, a 15-location oncology network serving 25,000–30,000 patients monthly, needed to reduce administrative burden and anxiety for patients who visit frequently. To streamline intake and check-in, Ironwood implemented Clearwave’s digital solutions in 2020, including pre-registration, Express Check-in, and self-service kiosks.
Clearwave’s pre-registration, Express Check-in and 24 kiosks let returning patients skip redundant questions, verify their name quickly, and view/pay balances on screen. The Clearwave rollout cut average check-in times (1m 41s overall; 55s with Express Check-in), reduced front-desk lines and billing conversations, increased kiosk payments, and helped mitigate staffing shortages by shifting staff to a concierge role.
