East Jordan Family Health Center (EJFHC), which serves over 3,000 patients per month across two Michigan locations with 12 providers, struggled with manual, paper-dependent check-ins and difficulty capturing comprehensive FQHC data—such as SOGI, homelessness, and income—while keeping patient charts up to date. Seeking a way to streamline registration, improve data capture, and reduce front-desk friction, EJFHC chose Clearwave and its Patient-Led Registration/Eligibility kiosks.
Clearwave implemented kiosks plus the Staff Control Center Dashboard to enable pre-registration, automatic imports into the practice management system, and upfront visibility of patient balances. The results: average check-in time reduced to 1m39s, 80% patient kiosk adoption, an 82% co-pay collection rate, and 3,016 automatic patient data updates per month—cutting paperwork, improving financial transparency, and freeing staff to focus on patient care.
