SLUCare Physician Group, the academic medical practice of Saint Louis University with more than 600 providers across 50+ specialties, sought to improve patient experience and engagement by moving to a paperless, stress-free and contactless access model—especially important during COVID. To meet this need, SLUCare selected Clearwave and its Clearwave Scheduling platform to deliver self-check-in, online provider search and scheduling that could adapt to varied specialty workflows and provider preferences.
Clearwave implemented a phased digital patient access solution beginning with contactless self-registration: appointment reminders, COVID‑19 prescreening, insurance capture, payment processing and consent forms completed online, with data automatically updating SLUCare’s practice management system and kiosks/personal devices used onsite. The result: nearly 90% patient adoption within 10 days of go‑live and over 70% of patients now completing pre-visit tasks digitally, yielding reduced wait times, increased safety and streamlined financial and compliance processes thanks to Clearwave.
