Dermatology Associates, a three-location practice serving over 4,500 patients per month, faced long pen-and-paper check-ins (30–45 minutes), staffing shortages at the front desk, and rising patient volumes. To address this, they partnered with Clearwave and deployed Clearwave Registration’s patient self-check-in kiosks and pre-registration capabilities.
Clearwave implemented kiosks, pre-registration links, Clearwave Reminders (two-way texting), and Multi-Factor Eligibility to automate intake, communications and payments. The results: 95% kiosk adoption, a 4m50s average check-in time for first-time users (an 83% drop), 25% fewer required front desk staff, 81% of appointments confirmed via Clearwave, 50% pre-check utilization, and strong collections (73% co-pay, 58% self-pay), significantly speeding throughput and reducing phone traffic.
