Westside Food Bank (WSFB) turned a Scout troop’s backyard campout idea into a broader community fundraiser but faced a tight timeline: they needed to build a registration-with-fundraising campaign in under a week to capitalize on momentum and partner interest.
Using the Classy platform they quickly published a professional campaign, secured a $10,000 match from the troop, and expanded the one-day event into a season-long campaign (May–July 2020) where families donated $25+ to reserve a spot and raised additional funds via individual pages. The effort brought in $71,190 across 397 transactions—more than three times their original goal.
