Savory Institute Increases Donation Page ROI and Recurring Giving Volume With Classy

Savory Institute, a global nonprofit focused on regenerative agriculture, needed to build financial resilience by shifting from a high-net-worth, e-commerce–based fundraising model to a scalable program of small, recurring donors. Their challenge was to remove friction from the donation process and create an experience that encouraged ongoing gifts to support long-term global work.

Savory moved its donation experience to Classy, embedding a main donation page into its interactive site, testing peer-to-peer and DIY campaigns, and launching a monthly giving program using features like custom donation values, Classy Passport, Classy Mode, and Classy Pay. The result: a 35% increase in online donations from 2019–2020, a 4,277% increase in recurring gifts since 2017, a 69% YoY rise in recurring donation volume driven by 600+ monthly donors in 2020, and recurring donors continuing to grow about 10% monthly.
