P2P Fundraising Platform Empowers Students to Rally Behind a Cause

buildOn is a nonprofit that mobilizes U.S. students to fund and build schools in some of the world’s poorest communities. After three years on an outdated fundraising system, the organization needed a more advanced, easy-to-use peer-to-peer platform that could scale across its roughly 80 high school and university chapters and be simple for teens to manage.

buildOn adopted Classy, whose intuitive page creation, built-in email templates, and customizable chapter settings—backed by responsive customer support—made it easy for students to launch and promote campaigns. The change nearly doubled online donations year over year (from 4,317 to 7,848) and increased online revenue from $942,322 to $1,200,274, while enabling teams to meet $30,000+ school-building goals and boosting student confidence and engagement.
