How Peer-to-Peer Is Driving the Next Century at City of Hope

City of Hope is a 104‑year‑old treatment and research center that cares for about 23,000 patients annually and runs roughly 400 clinical trials. Facing changing donor behaviors and a need to let grateful patients, families, and supporters give to specific doctors, projects, or cancer types, the organization needed a modern, easy way to enable peer‑to‑peer fundraising and equip staff to promote it.

Partnering with Classy, City of Hope launched ourHope, a customizable peer‑to‑peer platform that lets supporters create personalized campaign pages, fundraise for events or causes, and share their stories. The program expanded reach beyond traditional donors, converted third‑party givers into long‑term supporters, and created a data‑driven pipeline that strengthens funding for research and treatment breakthroughs.
