Catholic Answers, a faith-based nonprofit sharing the Catholic faith through media, wanted to take their Giving Tuesday fundraising to new heights after a modest first campaign in 2018 that raised $8,800 with limited promotion. Their challenge was to significantly increase reach and donations to better fund their mission.

They rebuilt the campaign on Classy Crowdfunding, using story-driven pages, match messaging, progress thermometers, Classy’s Giving Tuesday resources, a mailed postcard to their donor base, and more targeted emails. The campaign grew Giving Tuesday donations by 387%, raised 180% of their $30,000 goal (not including matching funds), attracted nearly 20% new donors and recaptured lapsed supporters, with an average online gift of $153 and 88% of donors covering transaction fees.
