Aquarium of the Pacific, a major Southern California attraction serving about 1.7 million visitors annually, needed to streamline online fundraising. Manual campaign processes were slow and resource-intensive, and although the Aquarium chose Classy for fundraising, Classy didn’t natively integrate with their Raiser’s Edge database—so a reliable integration was essential to avoid cumbersome data syncing.
They implemented Omatic’s Classy-specific ImportOmatic integration, which was quick to set up and came with templates and training Erin Russell could replicate for each campaign. The Aquarium now runs 8–9 Classy campaigns a year (GivingTuesday, scholarships, animal birthday/memorial campaigns), has saved significant staff time and resources, and is expanding use of ImportOmatic for other data imports while planning outreach to more underserved students.
