Wayne County, NC partnered with CivicPlus to improve trust, transparency, and resident engagement while moving away from manual workflows and siloed systems. The county wanted better ways to listen to residents, understand communication preferences, and make information easier to access, using CivicPlus Municipal Websites, Agenda and Meeting Management, and community engagement consulting.
CivicPlus implemented an integrated solution set that connected the county website, searchable meeting information, and online ordinances, while also providing survey research to guide communication and service decisions. The results included easier self-service for residents, significant internal time savings, and better data for decision-making; for example, 88% of surveyed residents said the website was easy to use and navigate, and the county gained insight into channels, trust sentiment, and department needs.
