Walton County, FL partnered with CivicPlus and its CivicEngage CMS to redesign its government website, aiming to better reflect the county’s diverse north and south regions while making information easier for residents to find. The county needed a site that could serve as both a citizen engagement tool and a fast, accessible source of information with fewer clicks.

CivicPlus implemented a redesigned, more functional website on CivicPlus Central, with improved navigation, prominent quick-access buttons, a more visible search box, and easier content management through live editing. Walton County also streamlined its beach permit lottery with an online form, helping move from paper-based submissions to digital entries. The result was better user access, positive resident feedback, easier internal updates, and a stable, secure platform with strong value for the county.
