Velva, ND, Gives Residents Easy Access to the City’s Code of Ordinances with CivicPlus®

The City of Velva, North Dakota needed a better way to give residents and staff quick digital access to its code of ordinances while reducing the workload tied to managing code requests and updates. To solve this, the city turned to CivicPlus and its Municode Codification Online Code Hosting service.

CivicPlus implemented an online system that lets Velva host, update, and distribute its code entirely online, supported by CivicPlus code attorneys to help ensure accuracy and transparency. The result was increased functionality, easier searching, and improved access for residents, who no longer need to call or visit City Hall; the city also reported better legislative compliance and more time-saving convenience for staff.
