The City of Orlando needed to manage a large volume of public records, social media activity, and website compliance while staying transparent, inclusive, and responsive to residents and tourists. With 81 social accounts, about 18,000 monthly social records, and nearly 60 public records requests per day, the city turned to CivicPlus for help, using Social Media Archiving, NextRequest, and CivicPlus Web Accessibility.
CivicPlus implemented an integrated tech stack that captures social content in near real time, streamlines public records requests through a centralized portal, and supports ADA/WCAG web compliance. The result was faster records searches, less time spent on redaction and fulfillment, improved quality control during the city’s website migration, and an efficient, compliant system that helps Orlando save time, reduce costs, and better serve the public.
