Newark, NJ Launches Citizen Engagement Platform Newark Connect

The City of Newark wanted a way to help residents quickly report quality-of-life issues to local government and improve engagement. To meet this need, the city worked with CivicPlus and used the SeeClickFix 311 CRM platform to launch Newark Connect, a resident-facing mobile app and online reporting tool.

CivicPlus implemented the SeeClickFix 311 CRM solution to let residents view, report, comment on, and vote on city issues, while also sharing photos, videos, and descriptions with agencies. The result was a more transparent and efficient service process for Newark, with more than 285,000 residents able to use the free app to help improve issue reporting and response times.
