James City County, Virginia, needed to update and modernize its outdated digital resident communication and engagement tools. With more than 10,000 PDFs and a sprawling website to manage, the County turned to CivicPlus for municipal website services and a new content management system to improve resident self-service and digital accessibility.

CivicPlus implemented a redesigned website with integrated CivicPlus Chatbot functionality, helping the County move paper-based forms and workflows online. Since launch, chatbot usage has steadily grown, streamlining resident service and revealing content gaps that the County has been able to fill, such as additional jury duty information.
