Irving, TX — a diverse, fast-growing city in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex — faced a dated, “dark and clunky” website and an aging CMS that made content updates difficult, inconsistent, and not mobile-friendly. Seeking a modern, government-focused solution to better connect with residents (including non-English speakers) and simplify departmental editing, Irving selected CivicPlus and its CivicPlus platform to rebuild the site.
CivicPlus delivered a responsive redesign and government-centric modules (including Info Advanced, NotifyMe, Google Translate, carousel and calendar features), simplified navigation with drop-down menus, and training for nontechnical editors. As a result, CivicPlus made the site easier to update and maintain (edits publish globally, reducing inconsistent content), improved mobile usability and citizen engagement, enabled 24/7 communications, and earned numerous compliments from staff and residents.
