How Middleborough, Massachusetts Upgraded its Records Request Process with the NextRequest Solution from CivicPlus®

The Town of Middleborough needed a better way to manage public records requests after a 2017 Massachusetts law introduced strict compliance requirements and deadlines. To meet these demands and improve efficiency, the Town evaluated several options and selected CivicPlus’s NextRequest solution for records request management.

CivicPlus helped Middleborough customize NextRequest to align with the new law and the Town’s existing processes, then trained 50 employees on the system. As a result, staff respond more efficiently, automatic notifications and templates save time, and the public is finding information more easily through the portal, reducing phone calls and easing the workload on employees.
