Fuquay-Varina Provides Citizens with More with the CivicEngage Mobile App

The town of Fuquay-Varina (population 27,000) needed to meet rising citizen expectations for instant access to news, alerts, and services despite having only one primary communications staff member. To broaden its multi-channel communications and improve mobile access, Fuquay-Varina partnered with CivicPlus and rolled out a redesigned CivicEngage website and the CivicEngage Mobile app.

CivicPlus implemented the CivicEngage CMS and mobile app, enabling departments to update content in one place and citizens to access agendas, news flashes, maps, calendars and more. After targeted promotion to 6,500 email subscribers and social channels, the town saw nearly 2.3 million page views in 2016, over 600 app downloads, and a device traffic split of desktop 46.9%, mobile 45.1% and tablet 8%—demonstrating CivicPlus helped streamline communications and increase resident engagement.
