Frederick, CO Redesigns Government Website for its Evolving Community

The Town of Frederick, a rapidly growing Colorado community adding roughly 1,000 residents a year and composed of long‑time locals and many new young families, needed a more flexible, mobile‑friendly website to bridge differing citizen needs and expectations. To modernize its online presence and improve self‑service access, the Town of Frederick partnered with CivicPlus and its CivicEngage platform.

CivicPlus redesigned the Town of Frederick’s CivicEngage site—optimizing it for mobile (about half of visitors were accessing the site on phones), adding Spotlight modules, Live Edit, homepage background imagery, and a Submit a Request workflow—so administrators can update content quickly and surface key topics. The new CivicEngage implementation delivered positive citizen feedback, reduced in‑person walk‑ins, improved online engagement (three regular spotlight features and frequent homepage updates), and streamlined service request handling.
