A CivicPlus Case Study
The City of Gulf Shores (pop. 11,658) needed to revitalize its online presence after the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill and overcome a static, hard-to-update website that hampered communication with residents and the hundreds of thousands of tourists who visit each year. To rebrand and provide a true resource for citizens and visitors, the City of Gulf Shores partnered with CivicPlus and implemented the CivicEngage content management system.
CivicPlus delivered CivicEngage to enable department-level content updates, modern visuals, and easier access to services, resulting in more accurate, up-to-date information and stronger visitor messaging. The City of Gulf Shores reports departments can consistently maintain pages, residents and visitors find resources at their fingertips, and web traffic is continually growing—helping the city elevate municipal services and showcase its community.
