City of Imperial Beach CA Cuts Records Processing Time in Half with NextRequest

The City of Imperial Beach struggled with a largely manual, time-consuming records management process for public records requests. Working with CivicPlus and its NextRequest product, the city sought a simpler way to handle requests, follow up with staff, and manage documents more efficiently.

CivicPlus implemented NextRequest to automate request intake, reporting, follow-ups, and document storage. As a result, the city cut records processing time by more than half, reduced manual work from about an hour to just 5–8 minutes for some tasks, and improved productivity while lowering paper and administrative costs.
