Burlington, NC Continually Evolves Website with Support of CivicPlus

The City of Burlington faced the challenge of making its municipal website easier to navigate and more engaging for citizens, especially as about half of users were coming from mobile devices. Working with CivicPlus and its Municipal Websites CMS, the city used resident surveys and user testing to identify issues with navigation, content clarity, and mobile friendliness.

CivicPlus helped Burlington redesign the site with a cleaner look, more intuitive structure, and customized subsites for parks and recreation, economic development, and police. The results included a 25% increase in website hits within 10 months, stronger citizen feedback, and recognition from statewide website competitions, while improved search, translate tools, and custom footers made the site more useful for residents.
