A CivicPlus Case Study
The City of Apple Valley, Minnesota, needed a safer, more efficient way to manage recreation programs and facility reservations during COVID-19, when offices were closed and lines at the front desk for open play check-ins were slowing service. To support its digital transformation, the City used CARES Act funds to invest in CivicPlus Recreation Management software.
CivicPlus implemented its Recreation Management software to move more registrations, reservations, and payments online and reduce in-person contact. The city expects the system to streamline administration, improve the user experience, and ease check-in processes with a card-based open play system, helping limit staff-customer interactions and handling of cash.
