Wincanton signals commitment to digital innovation with TranSend delivery app deal

Wincanton, the largest British logistics provider, was looking to strengthen its digital supply chain and improve visibility across its delivery operations. Following a successful trial, it chose Civica’s Winsight and TranSend delivery app to equip its drivers and subcontractors with smartphone-based track-and-trace tools for deliveries, returns, and cross-docking.

Civica implemented the Winsight system with GPS tracking and TranSend ePOD on rugged mobile devices, giving customers up-to-the-minute delivery updates and Wincanton a smoother, more connected delivery process. The rollout across the fleet improved communication with drivers and depots, provided full audit trails and proof of delivery, and supported operations handling around 15,000 loads a year to 476 Halfords stores nationwide.
