The CDA Group Ltd (CDA), a UK manufacturer and distributor of kitchen appliances with a 20‑vehicle fleet, needed to modernise and better control its fast-paced delivery operation to reduce paperwork, staff admin time and missed deliveries. To achieve this they engaged Civica and deployed Civica TranSend ePOD together with Route Compliance (integrated with Optrak route planning) to improve tracking, route control and customer proof of delivery.
Civica implemented TranSend on rugged PDA devices with satellite navigation, automated driver prompts, ePOD capture (time, signature, photo), and a web‑based Executive Dashboard for real‑time monitoring and exception management. The solution delivered measurables including a projected £40k per year operational saving, reduced fuel and admin time, fewer customer claims, elimination of paper PODs and the ability to send invoices with signature images within 30 minutes — materially improving delivery efficiency and customer service.
