RSPCA needed to move its annual general meeting online and partnered with Civica to deliver fully virtual AGMs using the CESjoinIN platform. Faced with the 2020 governance challenge of running a credible, accessible members’ meeting remotely, RSPCA ran its second CESjoinIN-based AGM in 2021 and planned a third for 2022 as members embraced the improved accessibility and user experience.

Civica provided CESjoinIN as a secure online environment—live broadcast, document library, live voting with instant results, and a moderated Q&A—working with an AV production team to ensure high-quality delivery. The solution engaged over 16,000 eligible members, increased accessibility and participation, and gave RSPCA confidence in virtual governance, with positive member feedback and planned enhancements (such as “seen and heard”) for future AGMs.
