Case Study: Christian Aid achieves digital feedback collection and analysis with Civica's iCasework

A Civica Case Study

Preview of the Christian Aid Case Study

Giving a voice to communities fighting global poverty using iCasework

Christian Aid, working across 14 countries, needed to replace paper forms, notebooks and spreadsheets with a digital way to capture, interrogate and learn from community feedback so it could understand root causes, prove impact and build an evidence base. To do this they selected Civica and its iCasework-based solution (deployed as "Compass") to modernise feedback collection and analysis.

Civica built Compass on iCasework and integrated it with KoBoToolbox for online/offline mobile data capture, allowing teams to upload data when connectivity returns and collect metadata for deeper analysis. Rolled out to 14 countries in a year, the Civica solution captured and analysed around 7,000 feedback cases in the first year, revealed insights (for example, that about a quarter of feedback were requests for assistance) and enabled Christian Aid to adapt programmes and improve learning from community voices.
