PeoplePlus, a national welfare‑to‑work provider employing over 1,000 people across more than 100 UK locations, needed a radical overhaul of its IT to meet the DWP’s stringent security, resilience and tight go‑live deadlines for the £5bn Work Programme. To achieve high availability, strict compliance and an adaptable pricing model, PeoplePlus partnered with Civica for a managed IT service and a private cloud‑based solution.

Civica delivered an SLA‑based managed private cloud, migrated PeoplePlus’ infrastructure into its data centre, moved over 30 sites onto a secure MPLS network, TUPE‑transferred on‑site engineers and rolled out resilient storage, WAN, WiFi, desktop encryption and anti‑malware. The Civica service provided 24/7 proactive monitoring, full disaster recovery, and enabled ISO 27001 accreditation, reducing in‑house responsibilities, improving resilience and compliance, and delivering on time while providing flexible, controllable costs.
