Day Aggregates is one of the UK’s largest independent aggregate marketing companies, supplying major projects and employing more than 420 people across 17 sites (a 20% headcount increase over two years). Needing a more capable, digital HR platform than its off‑the‑shelf system, Day Aggregates adopted Civica’s HR solution to manage recruitment, training and development across its distributed workforce.

Civica implemented its core HR system—with recruitment and training modules and planned e‑recruitment integration—to consolidate personnel records, give managers mobile access to absence, training and appraisal data, and link licences to CPC training. The result was streamlined HR administration across 17 sites, easier demonstration of compliance (including ISO 9001 and drivers’ 35‑hour CPC requirements), reduced paper processes and measurable efficiency gains from having a single, up‑to‑date source of data.
