Civica Occupational Health increases OH efficiencies at Isle of Wight NHS Trust

Isle of Wight NHS Trust’s Occupational Health team, a multidisciplinary group of around 20 people serving the Trust and about 25 external organisations, was constrained by an ageing OH system that required workarounds and prevented efficient, scalable digital working. To modernise processes, support remote working and reduce its carbon footprint while rebuilding commercial contract volumes toward pre-pandemic levels (~60), the Trust selected Civica’s cloud-based Civica Occupational Health solution.

Civica implemented a fully digital, cloud OH platform with secure referral portals, configurable reporting, automated patient communications and paperless workflows, enabling most clinicians to work remotely. The result for Isle of Wight NHS Trust: 20+ core users on the system, paperless processes, close to zero DNAs, faster reporting for customers and accreditation evidence, and the ability to handle increased workload without increasing staffing — all delivered through Civica’s Occupational Health solution.
