Civica gives the City of Ravenna new Authority to drive process improvement

The City of Ravenna, an Ohio municipality serving just under 12,000 residents, was struggling with an aging utility billing and reconciliation system and several manual processes for water, sewer and recycling accounts. Ravenna engaged Civica to deploy a modern, user‑friendly solution—Authority Utility—to add self‑service online payments and reduce administrative burden.

Civica implemented Authority Utility (including the Civica PayConnect gateway), provided on‑site training and ongoing support, and improved reporting and staff productivity. As a result, Ravenna transitioned smoothly off the old system, now benefits from better reports and continual updates, and has achieved measurable adoption with over 10% of bills paid through the Civica PayConnect gateway.
