Case Study: KARI (NSW Aboriginal children & youth service) achieves near‑paperless case management, 800+ hours/month time savings and stronger compliance with Civica’s Carelink suite

A Civica Case Study

Carelink drives transformation for KARI, enabling better wholistic care management for vulnerable clients

KARI, a New South Wales Aboriginal organisation delivering permanency support programs for vulnerable children and young people, was struggling with a paper-based case management system as demand tripled over four years. Seeking centralised digital records, mobility for field workers and better regulatory compliance, KARI selected Civica’s Carelink suite (CarelinkPlus and CarelinkAir) after demonstrations in 2018 and began implementation in 2019.

Civica migrated KARI’s records, supplied CarelinkPlus and CarelinkAir with tablets and laptops, and supported business process re-engineering to remove duplication and modernise workflows. The Civica solution delivered a near paperless environment, streamlined accreditation and compliance, reduced administration for field staff, and generated measurable efficiencies — including over 800 hours saved per month and significant reductions in printing and administrative costs — freeing staff to spend more quality time with clients.
