Campbells Prime Meat Ltd, a long-established food supplier to hotels, restaurants and public-sector organisations across Scotland, needed to modernise a delivery operation strained by highly dynamic ordering (orders taken until 11pm for next-day lunchtime delivery), limited route visibility and paper-based processes. To address unpredictable order patterns and difficulty tracking reusable delivery crates and driver routes, Campbells selected Civica’s TranSend ePOD app and cloud management software to replace manual systems and improve operational visibility.

Civica implemented the TranSend ePOD mobile app and cloud platform across Campbells’ fleet to provide workflow-driven tracking, real-time proof of delivery, step-by-step driver instructions and crate asset recording. The solution gives management and customer service instant visibility of routes and ETAs, enables accurate same-day billing, tighter cash-on-delivery reconciliation and reduces admin time and delivery errors; Campbells expects to recover the cost of the ePOD rollout from savings in crate tracking alone and is deploying the system across 80 vehicles in Scotland.
