Briggs Marine embark on compliance and employee development voyage with the Agylia LMS

Briggs Marine, a provider of vessel charter, navigation, mooring, diving and training services, faced a time-consuming, paper- and DVD-based training regime with records on spreadsheets and limited oversight. They needed a modern, easy-to-use digital learning platform with strong user management and analytics to support regulatory, health & safety and marine-specific training — and selected Civica’s Agylia LMS to meet those needs.

Civica implemented the Agylia LMS as Briggs Marine’s branded "Voyage" platform, delivering SCORM- and xAPI-compatible eLearning to around 600 learners and centralising learning analytics and records. The change boosted engagement and cultural attitudes toward development (nearly 3,000 eLearning course completions in 2020), gave managers clear compliance data for external accreditations, and made it simple to identify gaps and deliver targeted training.
