Brenntag automates paper processes and speeds up billing with TranSend ePOD

Brenntag UK & Ireland, the market leader in specialty, bulk and packaged chemical distribution with over 170 vehicles across 20 sites serving 20,000+ accounts, faced a paper‑heavy delivery process that made tracking, billing and regulatory compliance slow and error‑prone. To replace paper workflows and ensure accurate, auditable safety and compliance checks for both owned and third‑party fleets, Brenntag selected Civica’s TranSend ePOD solution deployed on Samsung tablets and driver PDAs.

Civica implemented a mobile delivery management system (TranSend) that presents routes and job‑specific safety workflows to drivers in real time, captures weights/volumes, container IDs, signatures and incident reports, and supports multi‑tank and third‑party vehicle operations. The Civica solution removed large amounts of paperwork, standardised processes, improved data integrity and product traceability (including batch/expiry), enabled accurate billing and faster turnaround to cash, and gave Brenntag full visibility of its collections and deliveries across the fleet.
