Beckfoot Oakbank School, a mixed secondary and sixth-form in Keighley with nearly 1,700 students and over 300 staff, struggled with fluctuating staffing, multiple pay grades and pension rules, and fragmented data across spreadsheets and systems. To address these complexities the school selected Civica’s HR and Payroll solutions, including self-service and the Civica e‑Recruit recruitment module, to replace manual, error-prone processes.

Civica implemented an integrated HR and payroll platform with self-service and online recruitment, simplifying data entry and reporting and eliminating duplicate work. The solution delivered measurable benefits — the school saved the equivalent of one full-time post, achieved more accurate data with fewer queries and errors, provides timelier absence and payslip access to staff, and has been rolled out to nine Beckfoot Trust schools using Civica HR.
