BACP sees 20% average monthly growth in member engagement with learning and CPD

The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the UK’s largest professional body for counselling and psychotherapy, needed to modernise member learning and CPD, replace paper-based CPD processes, and increase personalised, accessible development opportunities for its 60,000 members. After a competitive tender, BACP selected Civica’s Agylia LMS (including the My CPD tool and CPD hub) to deliver digital learning pathways, automated CPD recording and integrated, personalised experiences.

Civica implemented Agylia LMS and My CPD, integrating the platform with BACP’s member-facing website and Dynamics CRM to automate CPD journals, enable social “communities of practice,” and deliver tailored learning. The result: 2.2 million learning and CPD interactions, over 34,500 content completions, 97.8% CPD hub subscription retention, 32% member engagement in the first 12 months (19,200 members) and average growth of 20% per month — while reducing administration and improving insights through analytics.
