Wellington Shire Council, the local government authority covering a large area of eastern Victoria, needed a way to give all staff—especially depot and offsite workers—secure, remote access to payslips and leave entitlements as it moved from on‑prem Authority systems to a SaaS approach. To solve this they worked with Civica to deploy the Authority Connect mobile app with the Employee Kiosk module so employees could view pay and leave information from their phones anytime.
Civica’s Authority Connect Employee Kiosk delivered a simple, secure mobile experience that eliminated double handling (doctor’s certificates upload directly into payroll), reduced leave‑calculation errors, and required no formal training. The rollout made the council nearly paperless, enabled depot staff to access Authority for the first time, and gave 100% of employees access to pays and holiday leave—demonstrating an immediate, measurable improvement in flexibility and efficiency.
