Webex Calling empowers Aozora Bank to innovate and thrive in the hybrid work world

Aozora Bank, pursuing digital transformation under its “AOZORA 2022” plan, needed to adopt hybrid work but was constrained by the cost and management workload of company smartphones and by Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) limits that prevented remote staff from using full office IP-phone features.

The bank implemented Cisco Webex Calling with a BYOD approach, phased cloud migration, and seamless integration with Webex Meetings and its on‑premises CUCM, plus personalized settings to prevent overwork. The system was built in May 2021 and rolled out to departments from July after briefings and surveys; the move reduced terminal procurement and management overhead and completed the planned transition from FMC to cloud calling in 2021.
