Tetra Pak adds remote training sessions to support dairy developmen

Tetra Laval Food for Development, part of global packaging leader Tetra Pak, works with processors, governments and extension officers to boost smallholder dairy productivity in emerging markets. When the COVID-19 pandemic grounded travel and jeopardized essential face‑to‑face training—crucial for building trust and improving yields—the team needed a way to maintain training, collaboration and project momentum remotely.

Partnering with Cisco, they adopted Webex for remote training, using features like real-time translation, recording and collaborative meeting tools to run regular global sessions. The change preserved and expanded engagement, reduced travel time and costs, enabled more participants to share knowledge, and allowed the program to continue and scale new projects while sustaining strong productivity and income gains for smallholder farmers.
