Case Study: Leslie Science & Nature Center achieves engaging global STEM learning with Webex by Cisco

Making STEM fun with virtual events and owls!

Leslie Science & Nature Center, a Michigan-based STEM education organization, wanted to keep reaching students when in-person visits were limited and expand access beyond its local community. Using Webex by Cisco for video conferencing, the center brought its wildlife and science programs online for learners of all ages, including schools and families around the world.

Webex by Cisco helped LSNC deliver interactive virtual STEM Nights, wildlife encounters, and distance learning sessions using chat, raise hand, screen sharing, multiple cameras, recordings, and closed captions. The results included wider global reach, stronger accessibility for remote and lower-cost participation, and increased engagement through real-time “aha moments,” with participation spanning places like Canada, Mexico, Australia, and the Netherlands.
