Iberdrola Achieves 20% Reduction in Video Conferencing Costs with Webex and Cisco Devices

Iberdrola, the Spanish renewable energy leader with a global workforce, needed a reliable, simple way to modernize communications across 800 meeting rooms as it moved from on-premises systems to the cloud. The company also wanted to reduce complexity, support VIP users with high-quality conferencing, and connect its global teams more efficiently. Webex by Cisco was selected alongside existing Cisco devices to help meet these needs.

Webex by Cisco implemented a cloud-based collaboration environment using Webex Meetings, Cisco Room Bar, Room Bar Pro, Desk Pro, and Webex Control Hub, with seamless integration for Microsoft Teams and added capabilities like AI camera framing and simultaneous translation. The results included removing 12 kilometers of cable, reducing video conferencing costs by 20%, cutting energy use and pollutant output, and increasing call volume by 9%, while user feedback shifted strongly positive.
