ChristianaCare, a nonprofit health system, sought to improve its quality and safety initiatives and decrease instances of preventable harm. To meet this challenge, they partnered with the vendor CipherHealth and implemented its CipherRounds product to develop a strategic, data-driven rounding program.

Using CipherRounds, ChristianaCare created a customized "Perfect Care Bundle" rounding program. The solution from CipherHealth provided a consistent, data-driven approach with real-time reporting. This resulted in a measurable decrease in preventable harm, including a 41 percent reduction in HAIs, a 12 percent decrease in HAPIs, and a 20 percent decrease in falls, contributing to the system receiving a Healthgrades Top 50 Hospitals award.
