MetaCase, a Finland-based leader in Domain-Specific Modeling (DSM), needed a way to embed flexible graphical modeling technology in a new product while preserving its investment in object-oriented computing and metamodeling. The company’s key challenge was enabling customers to develop custom modeling languages and—crucially—integrate them to unite disparate parts of a business and improve communication across teams.
