Helmer Scientific, a manufacturer of specialized medical and laboratory equipment serving 17,000 clients through an internal sales team and 25 international distributors, struggled with highly configurable product builds that made quoting slow and error-prone. Their previous setup relied on two separate out-of-the-box systems and manual, “tribal knowledge” processes, so generating a single quote could take 30–90 minutes and required frequent rework.
Helmer implemented Cincom CPQ integrated with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Fourth Shift ERP, with Cincom training and hands-on support during deployment. The new solution cut quote time to under five minutes (an 88% reduction), improved accuracy and transparency, reduced manual rework, eliminated the need for immediate headcount increases, simplified IT maintenance, and provided better analytics for sales and marketing.
